So, I took last week off because I had a little R&R in Park City with a friend. OK, not so much R&R went on, but a whole lot of shopping did! Anyhoo, we had a little dinner and took in a movie. We saw TWILIGHT. I have read the books, loved the first one, and they all went down hill from there. Number 4, you say? Hated it! But I may want to add that I am a Jacob fan. I know, I know, how could you be a Jacob fan you ask? Easy, but I will explain that to you another time. OK, so I laughed through the whole movie, I am sure that I ruined it for the girl sitting next to me because it was the most ridiculous thing that I have ever seen. Well worth my money though. I laughed even when you weren't supposed to. I laughed because Edward's hair never fit into the picture, I laughed because of the over dramatic acting, and I laughed because girls walked out of there hoping for boys like Edward to sweep them off their feet. (HE, HE, it still makes me giggle!) Well, in the end of the movie, Edward and Bella go to prom, and that got me thinking. Prom, that is a thought that hasn't crossed my mind since 1996! I wish that I had time to rummage through my high school box and post a picture, but at the moment, I am rummaging through boxes to find all my Christmas decorations. ALL THREE OF THEM!! So that picture will be posted in the future. I don't remember much about that enchanted evening long ago, but a few memories stick out.
I wore a white dress to prom
My date had red cream soda for dinner
My date was an idiot and spilled red cream soda on my white dress
I just about cried (I think I did)
I did a good job of hiding my dress in my picture (I will post it as soon as I find it)
I remember it snowing
I remember Rachel's date not offering his coat, because Tux jackets aren't that warm anyway!!
I remember laughing really hard at that
I do remember that I loved my corsage ( Atleast, I think I can remember that)
I do remember that I was surrounded by beautiful friends who always made me laugh, even though I had a ruined Prom dress, and I still hold them dear to my heart even though they may not realize it.
So I want to give a shout out to my prom group, Jordan High School class of 96', because I am sure that when I find my pictures, they are going to be just as ridiculous as the TWILIGHT movie that I paid $8.00 to see, and just as ridiculous as the wig that Jacob wore in the movie that looked liked he dug through my Halloween box and plopped it on his head.

Thanks for giving me your blog address! I started laughing as soon as I read you were going to flashback to prom 96 because the red cream soda getting spilled on your white dress is my most vivid memory of that night, too. I thought you handled it amazingly! I still haven't seen Twilight; just read the books...but HOW CAN YOU BE A JACOB FAN!??! I still love ya, but wow, what a confession.:)
I can't wait to see the picture! You may have worn a white dress...but I wore a blue one that looked like the fabric off your grandmother's couch. What was I thinking???
You're the BEST Andrea Sanders...you know that right?!?
was I in your prom group? I don't remeber that.
