Holy Shmoly!!

Where do I even begin! There is much to talk about, a lot to laugh about and a lot to discuss.

Firties, We MOVED! Again! Number 15! Awesome, I know. We left our sweet house in the OC, to come back to our cute little town home in St. George. We couldn't sell it, thanks economy! Go ahead and keep sucking the money right out of my purse! But in all fairness we really didn't want to sell our cute town home. But boy was it hard going from 3500 Sq. feet back down to 1400 sq. feet. We have two storage units full of just junk I am sure, but they are treasures to me. I am afraid that somebody is going to turn me into Hoarders! Just kidding, but we are going to have a pretty sweet yard sale in the spring.

It is interesting why we moved back. Although Delta wasn't my favorite, Greg had a sweet gig at the hospital, well sort of sweet, and my kids were so happy, and I was willing to accept the fact that I was going to be a country wife. I fought that for almost our 2 years of living there, and just when I accepted it, and was going to be happy, the Lord decided to test me once again.

Greg came home one day in May, and seriously looked at me and said he felt the need to go back to St. George. I looked at him suspiciously and asked why, although on the inside I had butterflies, I thought the man was trying to trick me. I was really happy where I was. I loved my neighbors, I loved the simple way of living, and I even realized that I COULD live without a Target. (Although online shopping and netflix totally made up for that!) I said that I would follow him anywhere, and started to pray about it. That's when the miracles of all miracles happened. (Well maybe not the miracle of all miracles, but still important!) Our Stake President lived just around the corner and he caught us in the hall at church one day, and looked right at us, and said that he had a feeling that we were leaving. We looked at him in complete shock, and verified his information, (we had told NOBODY, not even our kids.)He said that he felt that we had business in St. George to accomplish, but I had to stay and finish my responsibility as the camp director. He laughed when he said that, but I think he was dead serious. That is a story another time, talk about out of your element.

With tears in my eyes, I looked at our Stake President and my husband, who both hold the same priesthood, and quietly thanked my Father in Heaven for these two men, who listened and acted upon the promptings of the Holy Ghost. My prayers were answered, and I believes in what I said, when I told Greg I would follow him anywhere, but that posed a problem. IHC will not hire Nurse Anesthetists unless you live in rural areas like Delta. Finding a job in St. George would be out of the question, but we both felt impressed to move back. Greg has to give 3 months notice for his profession. So the beginning of June he did, still not knowing what we were going to do. All we could so was pray.

Well some of you know that my husband has some crazy feet, just kidding, they are not even that bad, but he has a bone problem in one of his toes, so we made an appointment with a foot Dr. in St. George, because you think they have a Dr. like that in Delta! No Way! So we made the trip and stayed a few days in St. George. Greg and I went to the foot appointment and the Dr.came in looked at his feet. First of all he said, "Interesting, very interesting!" Really I don't think that you ever want to hear those words come out of a Dr.'s mouth, and then he asked Greg what he did for a living. Greg told him what he did, and the Dr. looked right at him and asked him if he wanted a job. I was absolutely floored. My jaw dropped to the floor and that is where the appointment ended and the job interview, if you can call it one, started. He walked Greg right out of the office and introduced him to staff, and started to get his paper work done. Once again, I had tears in my eyes, because I could not believe that my prayers have been answered.

To make a long story short, Greg's feet are just fine, just a little wacko, and he does the anesthesia for the Foot and Ankle clinic in St. George. Although it is part time, he still goes to Texas 10 days a month, which is so doable, we were doing that before, but the difference now is when he is home, he is home. He is no longer in a polygamist relationship. (Me and his phone!) I hated his phone, we all despised his phone, because ever time it rang, which was all the time, we knew that he had to go to the hospital. He doesn't even carry his cell phone now. Actually we had a family home evening where we actually set fire to his Delta phone and buried it, never to be heard of again. It was a lot of fun. So, we can now go farther then 20 minutes away from home, we have all holidays off, we make our own schedule, we can go to movies and know that we can sit back and watch it without the worry of being called out. It is awesome.

So we have opened our own business. We are now Sandman Anesthesia. He had Sandman put on his truck a while back, and it isn't because of our last name. I will explain this once and for all. The Sandman is a a mythical man that comes and puts you to sleep at night and brings you sweet dreams. My husband puts people to sleep. Get it now!(DAVID!) So he puts people to sleep and safely wakes them up, and he puts in epidurals, but I don't think any woman cares what the person calls themselves, you just better get the dang thing in, and then get out!

Side note* One time, Greg had a girl that came in too late for an epidural, the baby was almost out, and she looked right at him and told him she was going to punch him the face! Awesome! I told him he had to take verbal abuse from women who may be in a little bit of pain! I just LOVE that story, I can totally picture it.

I know that I have gone on and on about our move, and I have a whole summer to make up, I did want to write my feelings this Thanksgiving.

This past year I have witnessed families being torn apart form selfish divorces, I have had family and friends lose children, I have seen my family and friends suffer from job loss and losing homes, it has been a tough year for all, but I know that we are all watched over from a loving Heavenly Father. He loves us, and He blesses us. No matter our trials, He just wants us to draw closer to Him. All I have and am is because of the love and blessings He gives me.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
