July Fun!

SUMMER FUN

I am going to do several posts to make up for lack of during this crazy summer. So first I thought I would tackle the month of July. What a blur!

We bounced from Sandy to St. George so much we never stayed home for longer than 4 days! Glad that is over.

We had fun at Delta's Fourth of July parade and the annual Demolition Derby is downright religion in these parts. I am pretty sure there were some major code violations when the whole surrounding area bought tickets and it was almost standing room only. It sure was a BIG deal and you all have to promise that you will plan an intervention if I ever ride out in a derby car. EVER! The pictures will explain the HILLBILLY HELL that I live in.

Enjoying the Delta 4th of July Parade. Nothing like watching tractors drive down Main Street.

The Demolition Derby
a.k.a Hillbilly Hell

The last car out had the Delta City Royalty riding ON it, and from what I hear, it is quite the honor. WHAT? So help me, if I ever see Hallee hanging out of a derby car...

My sister and I planned a 60th birthday party for my Dad that turned out to be a blast! Then I had to turn around and celebrate Greg's big 34! Way fun!
Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday Greg!

Greg's sister delivered a set of twins for us to enjoy, a boy and a girl, but we haven't been able to see them yet, they were 3lbs. each, and they will still be in the hospital for a few more weeks, but I can't wait to hug and kiss these two!

I hosted the annual Delahunty family weekend (which has been almost every weekend this summer!) here in the OC. We had so much fun. My brothers can make me laugh so hard.

A family party complete with outdoor movie

The Sandlot, a family fav.

The gruesome twosome
(They are only a few weeks apart and TROUBLE)
(The Great Kambino and Nick the Stick)
(They BOTH have broken their femurs)

Cousins and S'mores

A fun round of Chinese Auction to win some pretty snazzy prizes!

Brenna won the cash prize. 10 bucks! (She is way into crossing her eyes. ALL THE TIME.)

And a shout out to my partners in crime. LAuReN and ALeX. When we get together I turn into a 13 year old girl. Too much fun!

A special thank you goes out to my husband who slept in the tent with Kam and Nick because they just had to sleep in a tent. Whom also scared away screeching cats and told the cows to be quiet ALL NIGHT LONG, so we could all have a sound slumber.

A very sleep deprived, red eyed, feels terrible, scruffy sweetheart.

Then we had 2 extended family reunions. One for the Delahunty's and one for the Fyans, and I had a niece and a nephew get baptized and two nephews blessed in July. Whew! I am exhausted just writing about it.

Holy Cow! That is a full summer. It looks like Delta is actually a pretty fun place to live.
