Top 10

This is going to sound cheesy, so just prepare yourselves, and if you don't like the mushy stuff in life, then do not continue reading this post.

Greg and I met 13 years ago today. It is a beautiful story of how two young and wild kids fell in love on the beautiful streets of downtown Salt Lake. For years I have told people that we met at school, or at a party, or a blind date, because I didn't want to divulge my secret, but today, I will scream it from the rooftops if I have to, because I love my husband that much, and I am so glad that I met him.

I met my husband on State Street people. That is right. I was in a car and he was in the other car. I told you this was a tear jerker. Nothing says true love like, "Hey, pull over, meet us in the Chevron parking lot." That's right. That is the line that got me. Romantic I tell you.

After a night of random acts of nothing, the capitol, hobbit land, and some church in Sandy, I knew that he was for me. I loved everything about him.

Through our dating years, and our 11 1/2 years of marriage, we have grown together fabulously. I am not claiming we have been perfect, we have had our fair share of the up and downs and bumps in the road, but I wouldn't change it. If we were perfect then we wouldn't have stories like when I got mad and wanted to make a point by slamming the door while making my exit, and the door didn't slam at all, it looked more like I was sneaking out of Gospel Doctrine, and boy that made me even more furious, then we just looked at each other and burst out laughing.

So although this post is really for my husband, I thought you all would like to get a kick out of my top 10 reasons why I am glad that I do not have a perfect marriage. I know that sounds bad, but it really is meant in the most heart felt loving way. You may not understand all of these reasons, but Greg will, and that makes it even better.

Top 10 Reasons Why I am glad my marriage isn't perfect...

10- We wouldn't appreciate blueberry muffins so much

9- I wouldn't have to check all the doors in the house to see what one would slam the loudest

8- I would never get the opportunity to grow in saying I was sorry.

7- We wouldn't have the Christmas memories of getting absolutely nothin.

6- We wouldn't have a hole in the front of our bumper

5- We would actually have pictures of our dating years

4- I wouldn't have smiley faces or frowny faces, and come on, if I didn't have those how would I ever push myself to be better.

3- Greg couldn't laugh so hard until he had tears running down his face every time I stepped on the scale. (It is not what you think...he isn't a jerk!)

2- Greg would never have the opportunity to know that I have a Chinese hand.

1- Last but not least... Bullah, Bullah, Bullah!!!

Greg, I love you, I always have and I always will, I hope you never change, because although you are FAR from perfect, you are perfect for me. Happy Valentines Day!
