State Street

I met my husband 12 years ago today. The planets must have been aligned to meet somebody so great. I usually do not keep track of things like this, but it's not every day you meet somebody you are going to spend all eternity with.
I never tell anyone the real story unless I know you very well, but if your reading this, then you are already in my circle. We totally met on State Street. Embarrassing I know! I was only 18 so you have to give me a break, and I had two awesome friends with me. (Sorry Karli and Leslie, I am dragging you down with me!)
You all know what happens on state street. You flirt with the boys and drive away.
Not so much in this case. It was more like the boys in Greg's car screaming out the window for us to pull over at the Chevron. Doesn't that sound romantic. I thought they looked young, but come to find out they were all returned missionaries. (That's when my plan A started to become my plan B, sorry Rob!!)
So there you have it. I didn't meet Greg in a fancy restaurant, we didn't get set up, we didn't lock eyes in a crowded room, we met on State Street, and without the help of my lovely friend Les providing my phone number I would have never been Mrs. Greg Sanders.
Happy Valentines Day!!!

It always makes me laugh to remember that story. You may be the only people in history that actually found love while cruising State. :)
